This was commissioned by a client who had recently returned from a turkey hunt in North Dakota.  For this painting, I used four tail feathers and four covert feathers from the customer's harvested bird.  I tried to give it a woods like feel with the pines in the background and the pine cone in the foreground. The feathers are matted and framed in a shadow box.
